Roundwounds on a Hofner?

The best sounding rounds that I have used on a Hofner 500/1, and I prefer rounds on a Hofner bass, were La Bella 760RHBB “Beatle” Bass Stainless Rounds – 50-100. BUT, their tension was TOO high for the neck and it was affecting my playing/feel. So, I went with Hofner brand MADE IN GERMANY rounds and never looked back. They have perfect tension and sound & feel great. I bought up the only sets, 3, that I could find locally and on-line, years ago. Not sure where to get these other than for you, or a dealer, to order them from Hofner in Germany. They are expensive. The set I have had on for 5+ years still sounds great. Ha! These are NOT the cheap Hofner Contemporary Roundwound Bass String Set, BTW!
