Roytek P-bass

Hey guys,

I picked up this bass when I was living in florence for 100euro. I want to put a pearloid or anodized pickguard on it, but I don't know anything about the dimensions or which aftermarket part would fit on it. To me, it looks like an Essex made up for european distribution. The neck looks the same, minus that super shiny gloss (the lack of this is why I actually play it, no real finish on the back of the neck), and the pickups were no-namers when I replaced them.

If it is just an Essex dressed up for Europe, are there aftermarket pickguards that fit it, or do I need to do a tracing and send it out?

One thing that alot of people don't realize is that SX doesn't make all their parts. They are supplied many from Dr Parts and Dr Parts supplies other companies too. Basically a lot of companies cross-polinate so-to-speak.

Oh, I thought it was one of those Aria, tesco, et cetera situations where it was just one factory and then one place rebranding them... the plot thickens!

edit: did some more googling. It's not by dr. parts, but an italian online store has lots of roytek stuff Link Removed

I have P-bass Roytek - hand made model. Very close to original, very good copy - much much better than Squier.
