yeah, I can't seem to find the issue. It is possible that I could have imagined it, or that I am just mistaken.
Could it be possible to make this cable?
Two 4 ohm speakers wired in series/parallel, would be a 4 ohm load, right? Why couldn't it be done with two 4 ohm cabinets?

You can't wire two 4 ohm speakers in series parallel. It's either series, at 8 ohms, or parallel, at 2 ohms.

You can wire FOUR 4 ohm speakers in series parallel to get 4 ohms. You do this by wiring two pairs, each in series to get two 8 ohm pairs, and then wiring the two 8 ohm pairs together in parallel to get 4 ohms (or the other way around).
