Hi, I'm trying to figure out one last pedal one Brian's Cook pedal board I cannot Identify. He's starting to use lately an A/O Ultra. On the pic below, there is a TSVG boost, a Rat Tail. Could you please help me identify the pedal on the right of the Rat Tail? He's known to use a lot of Dwarfcraft, Fuzzrocious ect...
I think someone may have already answered you, but in case not, that is a custom Dwarfcraft Eau Claire Thunder.
Looks like it switched up a bit, but I saw this a year ago. Russian Circles - Brian Cook - Pedalboard - Effects Bay might be of interest if you haven't seen it.
a picture i took april of last year. looks like a switched back to the eau claire thunder from the rusty box.
Rusty box shouls sound nice too. This was in Haarlem Holland 27/05/2018. Bottom tight of the board is an A/O Darkglass Ultra. Curious how he uses it if its an always on OD...
2018* considering that the pedal didn’t exist in 2017 . I’m not sure if Brian’s using the AOU always-on but I can ask!
With a service like this, it's difficult to not fall in love with Darkglass in 2018 That's very nice offer from you! It would be good knowledge (and I believe good publicity too) to know how he's using it in his extensive pedal board, next to the RAT Fuzzrocious, Huge Way swollen pickle and ECT Dwarfcraft. Quote from Brian Cook Instagram "bubblegutz This thing smokes. Clarity and punch with a healthy dose of grit. Really loving the Alpha Omega Ultra preamp/distortion pedal by @darkglasselectronics"
Thank you! Next time they play in Helsinki I'll see if we can shoot some videos, demos, interviews and rig rundowns. I find him and the band extremely interesting!
He wanted a smaller enclosure so we cut down the features for him. I can't remember if the second switch is feedback or the ToneBlast. I think it is feedback, so the knobs are Volume, Tone, Gain, and Feedback tune...probably. It's possible that it is the ToneBlast, though, in which case the knobs are V, G, T and Trim. Probably should have kept better track of our custom work over the years...lol. Everything else we set at a static value based on his preferences.
This is from Instagram BBC UK recording 15/08/2019; still rocking the A/O ultra, Rat tail and Eau Claire.
99% the left one is a Source Audio After Shock (maybe not after all..), still not sure about the white pedal, 4 black pots, 1 white.
Hm, with the 4 black knobs and 1 white that makes me think it's the EHX Mel9. Also the one on the left isn't clearly orange like the Aftershock in either picture. Could be the Source Audio reverb or tremolo though.
For reference, 4 Knobs is not an aftershock, it's a Darkglass Duality (instead of the Eau Claire/Swollen Pickle). The 4 knobs 1 white is indeed the EHX Mel9. The Digitech delay has been replaced by an Earthquaker Afterneath View attachment 3510913 [/QUOTE]
