I had this made for me. It's 9v and minus the di. It sounds great!

Schenkenstein effectsWho made that?
I've built this to myself, 9V in, internal charge pump, without DI.View attachment 1060865
Yes, I designed my own PCB.That looks great! Did you use or design your own PCB for it?
What are the eq points for each control? Wondering if the RB is the same.Unfortunately not.
Well gang, I think I'm ready to flip this fella - I just can't stand having to deal with the extra power adapter.....GRRR!!!!!
I don't know, I just followed the schematic for the Traynor TS-50B preamp section. What are the eq points for each control? Wondering if the RB is the same.
I only use 2-3 pedals per gig. My power solution is a Voodoo Labs ISO-5, that has five isolated power outputs. Three are 9V, one is either 9V or 12V (@300mA), and one is 18V. Covers all my permutations/combinations.
You are probably already aware of the ISO-5, just putting it here given that the 12V applies to the Rusty Box. (Well, I assume it would work with the Rusty Box).
I don't have a Rusty Box, but it's been on my wish list for years. I've been really happy with the Darkglass B7K or Tech21 Oxford for aggressive tonez, but I'm guessing I'd like the RB as well.
Well the rusty uses 30-40V ac, so you'd need the 12V+18V+Voltage doubler+ a cable to flip polarity from negative to positive.
The Rusty loves a decent fuzz, in my experience. I ran a Malekko Diabolik at hi-gain into my mildly set Rusty with great results.Fuzz + Rusty Box: does it still sound good? I really need to use the fuzz on some sections (not much often but sometimes it's really necessary) and I'm trying to figure out if I can use a R.B. as a pre-amp with a mild gain, or it is a bad idea.
Whaaat where did you hear that?New Rusties are going to be 9 volts!
Nice. I frequent that site as well. Pretty stoked on this news, though I’ll probably just stick with the one I’ve had for all these years. Interested to see the updated enclosure art.One of the guys from Tronographic posts on the Electrical Audio Forum(message board for Steve Albini fans). He shared some of the details there.
this is great news.New Rusties are going to be 9 volts! .
