Rusty Box!

In the end, it didn't work out between us

It doesn't fit my riffs at all, sadly. Stupid me, I should have known.
Anyways I'm glad I had it in my hands for a few days, I didn't want to die without having tried this legendary pedal at least once :D
Sorry to hear it. If you’re not in a super rush to sell hit me up and I’ll buy it from you— just waiting for a pedal to sell !

I’d snag one if I didn’t already own the OG. The best pedal I’ve ever owned. Cool to see they’ve made it slightly more “easy” to use.
rather than buying the new 9V veirson, i modded my original one to use a 9V power supply by installing a charge pump in it, however i also needed to install a power isolator for the charge pump circuit, otherwise it wouldn't work at all if it was daisy chained on a single power supply.

Truth be told I’m probably going to hit you up to mod mine- that is, if you’re still doing that. Getting tired of the wall wart!

Just learned of the Rusty Box and I'm curious how it compares to the DG Alpha/Omega? I currently have the Alpha/Omega but the Rusty Box has me thinking. If they're not all that different, I won't bother, but I feel like I should try it out.
They are quite different in my opinion- the Rusty Box is naturally tighter and brighter sounding, with a built-in scoop in the middle-mids (lots of nice upper mid though). The Rusty also has tons of headroom and cleans up much more smoothly at low Gain (my AO never really cleans up even with the Gain at minimum). I’d love to try the two of them together (I ditched my Rusty years back because of the power supply).

Thanks for the info. Does it not work with a regular 9V pedal power supply?

The Rusty Box has a raucous top-end grind. Whereas the Alpha-Omega has more of a midrange growl/grunt.
If I wasn't so in love with my Oxford(modded for more top-end) for having both, I would have definitely paired those two up together.
