I remember reading something along those lines a few years ago from one of the custom tube amp guys. My only concern would be that there’s a lot more current going through a power transformer then a guitar pickup. Keep us posted about what happens.

A pickup has magnets a transformer has current passing from one coil to the next
Do they both make eddy currents?

Got a little flimsy being soaked in vinegar, give it some sun
Actually easy (messy) to put it together usually it's a fight

Plan on skirting the wrap, half the coil being covered
Can't decide how I'm going to pot it , I have a pot of Pyro carbon somewhere that would add a sparkle to the sound but mabey I will save it for the neck , think I'm going to go with 100% paraffin pot and 42 poly wire

Silver epoxy, all the pole pieces have mechanical and conductive connections to the copper plated steel baseplate
