Süße (Susse) Musik Strings - I've never heard of them but they're _way_ cheap - curious to know if anyone has ever tried them.

We have a cello here that no one really plays but with a broken string - I ordered a set of their cello strings to try for $10.

Thanks in advance.

Hello, Steve Freides
I had an experience with this brand years ago. It was a set of cheap strings on an old, cheap laminated bass.
As you said, they are Way cheap. I don't know exactly what the tension they had, while they are really so hard that my fingers hurt before playing them for an hour. They sounds stiff on open strings, extremely dark on pressed notes. They have huge friction under bow, witch makes theme difficult to be bowed smoothly, and make them sound hoarse.
After then, the G string broke and the cheap bass was equipped with an Obligato set (I forgot the tension ). And then I realized that I had neither misblamed on the strings nor the instrument.

I bought some sube bass strings a few years ago on ebay and wish I would have bought more. They do leave a little residue on your fingers though...but are easy to play. I changed some strings on a new bass which were Orchestra gauge and the difference in playablility was large. Recommend them but where to get them now is a mystery.
