That beast would be fun to play, but, yeah, space and maintenance would be a huge pain.
I sold mine like three months ago...
But, yeah, if some S/Der has one, I'm all ears.
Just to clarify, I didn't see a Meat Box on Brian Cook's board, but he was definitely blasting subs here and there. The Taurus was in there, and I think the Akai Headrush? I dunno exactly, I was in the mid-to-back for most of the set because it was it was loud as fugg up close.
Yeah the Akai Headrush 2....My favorite loopers. Picked one up for guitar after hearing Mike Sullivan use one for the first Russian Circles album. Now I use it for bass and I dig it.
Curious why you like the Headrush over a Jamman? Do the loops sound better, or easier to start and stop the loops?

Scored a Fender/Sunn 215 (with Eminence Drivers) for only $173!!! to go with the Peavey Classic 120/120. That in combination with the GK 700RB and Genz Benz 410T-XB really moves some air and provides a delicious B string sound. Not pictured is an additional 2x10 that will go with the 4x10. 16ohm 2x10 + 8ohm 4x10 in parallel = equal power distribution.
Technically I should be stacking these cabs for optimal sound and dispersion right? Side-by-side can cause some wave cancellation no?

Also, building a Soldano SLO 100 clone (via Weber "Heather" kit) shortly for band-mate. Should be fun!

I had the Line6 DL4 previous to the Akai and the DL4 suffered from volume loss on the loops.
I started looking for a new one and was a big fan of RS, so I did some research and found the Akai. Never looked back. The Akai is awesome.
Never tried a JamMan.
Just found out our newer guitarist invited some friends over to our band space for a jam session on all our gear last night. Not cool. He's a good guitarist, but we've had to battle him on EVERY decision. Gonna give him the boot; this crosses the line.

I quit a band once over a similar thing. We practiced about an hour away from my home. So friday nights after work I'd load up my gear, drive halfway to the guitar players house, pick up him and the singer, then head the final 30 minutes to the drummer's house for practice. We had a show coming up, so decided to spend a saturday practicing as well. Friday night we finished up and I decided to leave all of my gear - bass included - at the drummer's house. The bass was my old POS Warlock, it was in a gig bag. The next day we show up, I pull the bass out of the bag and all of the tuners are perfectly aligned and it's way out of tune. That's not a good sign, but I bite my tongue and continue setting up my gear. Plug the bass in - hum and static, no signal. So I don't know what the hell happened to it, but overnight the drummer managed to somehow completely **** the electronics and send it way out of tune. I think it must have been dropped, but it was so ****ed up that I can't imagine what else he did to it.
So I had a minor meltdown, told the drummer to **** off, he denied everything. I packed my **** said that I'd wait in the car until they were done. The other two guys quit on the spot as well.
Damn, staying late to make up time from the dentist visit today and I sent a copy of a map to a wrong printer and there was a print out of one of the workers facebook chats. I think it is the printer his boss uses. We usually try and grab someone's print and hand it to them so I slapped it upside down on his desk he was off already but here was his boss sitting there. So guess his balls will be busted, and a catch 22 for me, they know I know they are watching him, so I can't tell him hey get off FB messaging.
Id take notice of all your gear before confronting him like that also if any thing was hurt you can ask for payment before there's bad blood
I let chillerthanmost borrow my drum kit and some amps and cabs for his other band's shows occasionally, but he's super courteous about asking every time. Plus they bought me new heads for my kit as a thank you. Letting strangers jam on other people's gear without asking is a dealbreaker though, for me. I had a bandmate who used to do that on the regular. He never told me, I just found out by finding settings changed or damage on my gear. Eventually I came in to find one of my cabs blown, he offered to pay me for the damage and took a year to do it. I don't talk to him anymore, for different specific reasons, but all ultimately due to the fact that he's a rude, unreliable and selfish person.
Thanks! It's my go-to dirt at the moment. I've got the GK set for a nice growl, and then add the Muff on Top for more dirt. The VT Bass is there for a highs/grind boost when some extra high's/grit are useful.
I actually run both the Muff and VT-Bass parallel to a clean/dry signal using the LS-2 Line Selector. Both just eat/muddy a bit too much low end for my taste when run series.
I use a Black Finger compressor, an MXR 10 band for a mid boost/shape, and my secret weapon, the Aphex Big Bottom Bass Exciter. Trying to find a rack version of that puppy.
My Warbird also has a parallel/series switch to series the two humbucking Bullock Jazz bass pickups. Gobs of deep lows when in series.
I went on tour with a group where the other band used my entire setup the whole time. I had ZERO problems with that. Because he asked before the tour and I knew he was a nice, respectful dude.
This new guy is an ok dude, but is one of those guys that is just socially clueless. Doesn't even know when he's being an ass. Which is really unfortunate and makes for bad band chemistry.
