Sad news

A friend of mine, and drummer in one of my bands was killed by a falling tree while driving to a gig. She touched so many people's lives - an amazing person, talented drummer, singer, dancer and yoga instructor.

Life is short. Hug the ones you love.

I'm so sorry. This kind of thing happens more frequently than you think. My sister had a large branch fall on her car while driving - messed up her neck for life.

A similar incident happened a few miles from here last summer. Investigation indicates that the tree was weakened by a lightning strike.
