What a band! Great mellow grooves with atmospheric guitar/sax/keys layered in there. My favorite record is Love Deluxe, just a masterpiece in my opinion. Even the instrumentals are killer. I also really dig Stronger than Pride, I feel it has a similar vibe to Love Deluxe.

If you dig Sade check out Sweetback. It's the band minus the singer, their first record which is self-titled is super chill.

Paul Denman is a great bassist, sticks to the groove and plays just what the song needs, doesn't get too busy but his pocket is solid.

I was first introduced to Sade in 1993 by a girlfriend at the time, have been listening to the group ever since. Some truly great musicians!

I love Sade! I think the bass on Cherish the Day is brilliant! Very simple bass line and it comes in later in the song and changes the whole dynamic. Bass perfection! Did I already say that I love Sade?
