Sadowsky fans - soapbars or Nordstrands?

I'm thinking about getting my first Sadowsky, it'll be a NYC 24 fret 5 string. I've been borrowing a friend's, it's an older model with EMG soapbars.
I'm really a vintage tone guy, I play old Fenders for the most part. I'm obviously looking for something different with this bass, but the ultra-modern, lots of treble super clean sound isn't really me. I'm getting a great sound with this bass using only the front pickup, no treble boost, and a bit of bass boost, through an old B-15.

Given this info, whattaya think - Sadowsky soapbars or Nordstrands?!

Sadowsky soapbars have dual blades connected in parallel. There is no coil-tap availability. That gives it a both-pickups-full-ultra-J-bass-like sound even when you solo the neck pickup. IMHO there isn't any "lots-of-treble" going there, however I would say that that's one bass you'll probably never get a John Paul Jones sound from the early days of Led Zeppelin.

I never tried Big Singles but I have Fat Stacks on another bass. That is still a "modern" pickup but it can be tweaked to sound "vintage" - at least definitely more vintage than Sadowsky soapbars.

Jsingles is right saying that Nords would be closer to Fender tone.
