Sadowsky=Greatness

Man,

I just made it back from guitar center, where I played a Sadowski, Olympic White Ultra-Vintage 70's edition. All I can say is... WOW! This bass really blew me away. It's far and away the best of the, modeled after a Fender Jazz, that I've played. Now I have GAS, major, major GAS.

Can any of the other jazz-like basses match this bass? If so, and it's more expensive than the Sadowsky, I'm in deep trouble.

Cheers,
TC

I've got a hunch the Lakland Joe Osborn is right up there with it, especially with the J-Retro electronics. I really like having the semi-parametric mid. While this JO5 actually lists at a fairly high price, it sells at the dealer for about the same as Roger's direct price. I don't know if you can get MOP blocks on a U.S. Sadowsky.

That thing is just plain sick Munji! :bassist:

I hope i don't get flamed for this but I was Gassing for a NYC Sadowsky PJ/JJ very healthy price tag on those. So I (wait let me put on my Flame-Resistant suit) got to talking to Carey Nordstrand at a local GTG and he said he could meet my request, so i sold my Sadowsky MV5 to help finance the Nordy vJ5 PJ/JJ and have no regrets. The Nordy smokes..... That's why I have the flame-resistant suit:D:

That bass looks INCREDIBLE with the white pearl pickguard!!

I am NOT knocking Sadowskys here; it's just a matter of taste. Played a Sadowsky Metro Yesterday and it was the first time I had ever played any kind of Sadowsky. Didn't care for the neck profile. I preferred the neck profile on the USA JO I owned. I have no idea if the neck profile on the NYC Sadowskys is the same as the Metros.
