Sadowsky Metroline Will Lee 5 vs Sadowsky NYC

Been scouting the net for an answer. What do ya'll think ? - Will lee 5 or a nyc model (not will lee)...would the mid cut boost on the will lee outweigh the chambered body and passive tone control ?

I think the real question is how customized do you want your bass to be. If you A/B'd a Metro and a NYC Will Lee 5, I think it would be challenging to tell much difference sonically. However, you have way more variety in the options that go into the NYC bass. For me, the NYC was the answer. I spec'd out exactly what I wanted in the bass. In your case, if the Will Lee electronics are the determining factor and you are less concerned about options, I would go with the Metro.

Do you mean a Will Lee Metroline or a used NYC Will Lee? Or another model used NYC?
