Love it.

The tone, the neck shape, the fit and finish, balance, playability. All are off the charts.

Modern hi fi sounding with tones to die for. I've waited years--literally--
for Roger to design and release this bass and it was well worth the wait.

• quilt maple on chambered alder body
• '59 burst finish
• flame maple fingerboard
• no dots inlays on the fingerboad; ony position markers on the side of the neck
• black hardware

Nice fingerboard.
I rarely see a flame maple fingerboards, I've only seen some on warwicks. Flame necks are also rare and I've never seen quilted fretboard or neck. All I see is birdseye maple

Holy Mother!!! That fretboard is AMAZING, not to mention the rest of the bass. I like the moderns with EMG's but then that's me and that's your bass. Still, I'm instantly vexed and SOOO GASSED up right now. Beautiful, just beautiful.

Thanks guys. I feel like silly saying "thanks" since it all Roger's and the crew's impeccable work. I just asked for the items of very nice quilt, '59 burst, flame board, no dots, black hardware.

The pictures do capture the quilt well; however, pardon the Ebay cliche, they do not the fingerboard justice. When I opened the case and saw the flamed fingerboard (no dot markers) I almost tripped over my tongue. I love the shape of the neck too.

I just sold my M5-24 because I wasn't to capable of handling 5 strings and (jokingly) said that I'd wait until Roger put out an M4-24 before I bought another Sadowsky.

Just goes to show ... be careful what you wish for !

That's a beautiful bass though, Jim. Can't wait for the soundclips .
