In general I always love Koa, but my NYC is flame maple and I will never part with it—it just sounds too good and I’ll never be able to afford another one. (I’ll attach a pic later). That said some cocobolo is my favorite wood ever. My Linc that is currently listed in classifieds is cocobolo. The one pictured here with birdseye roasted maple and black blocks looks stunning.

Interesting and thank you. I have two Sadowsky basses both with transparent stain : gloss black transparent swamp ash Will Lee Metro and Mary Kaye white transparent swamp ash NYC custom P bass variation. Last night I placed an order with The Man for a Modern NYC with a burl walnut top (I have 3 Sadowsky guitars, two with stained maple tops). It's going to be a long 12 months.*

*It takes 9 months to make a human but 12 months to make a custom bass. The latter has guaranteed satifaction; the former not so much. :D

That top is amazing! Also oddly creepy. :laugh: Great choice. And not a bad looking backyard. :woot:
