Sadowsky Onboard Preamp questions

What size has the Sadowsky onboard preamp with VTC?

Does the 9V battery AND the onboard preamp fit under a normal fender j-bass plate? Does the 9V battery fits underneath the 4 pots?

I would like to upgrade my old Squier Jazzbass, that has got the Sad HC PUs recently.

I know, I have to drill a hole for a body-mount jack, because of the 4th poti. But I dislike any greater woodworks...

it doesnt fit under the jackplate.the batt box needs put in the rear of the instrument.i believe the preamp will fit though.as far as moving the jack i found a 250k concentric pot that fits there knobs and will have stacked vol/vol,push pull vtc/bypass,stacked bass/treble and jack in stock location.

i have a spector euro lx 5 string bass with active emg pickups and i jus installed a sadowsky preamp in it...everything works but the vtc im guessing cuz the vtc is a 250k pot so im going to change it to a 25k tone pot along with a emg tone compasator (i think i said that right...i hope it goes right

So, did it work? I'm ressurecting this thread cause I'm thinking about putting EMG LJ's in my custom 5 string jazz.
