I've sort of settled on D'Add XL's for the time being, but am willing to try a hex-core again, soon.
The general differences is that one comes in a Blue package and the other comes in a Black package.Obviously, while I was at work....
Still, I'd love to know (in a general idea) the difference between Black and Blue.

Some of my beta testers have said they prefer the Blue Labels on one bass and prefer the Black Labels on another bass.
OK guys, I have 10 worthy bassists who will receive strings. Responders who did not include an address or tell me if they wanted nickel or silver were disqualified.
BTW: The Blue Label strings are not available yet in XL length for 35" scale basses. So if you did write me and need XL's, please let me know as I do not have any.
Look forward to reading your reviews.
Roger
