The poor selection in stores is in large part because people “shop” at the brick-and-mortars but buy from online discounters. The brick-and-mortar folks can’t pay rent & utilities or stock products on that basis. Whether the brick-and-mortar is a national chain or a local mom-and-pop, it comes out much the same.
