Samson G track

I heard you can plug a bass guitar into the Samson G track microphone directly but, doesn't that change the sound? Like, it doesn't play the sound I hear coming out of the amp? OR does it sound perfect?

It's not going to sound like your amp because your amp has a pre, eq and a speaker. All this colors the sound.

Using this you're essentially running a DI only so the sound is going to be flat. You'll have to eq and compress at least. If you have any amp plug ins in the DAW using them will help a lot.

Ups, I bumped without reading the first post. I was more interested in how does it do the job as a microphone.
