Sanamp rbi demo

I have one and love it. Most demos on the net Re garbage. Anyone post a great demo of this pre?

I have one too and love it, use it mainly for recording....super easy to dial in a good sound with minimal effort.

Most demos I see on YouTube suck; often they are playing really low and talking over the playing they are doing.

That's not helpful at all.

Or they are using some crappy mic in the room to record what they are doing, again you really get no idea of what they sound like.

Or you get the guys who mic bass cabinet with kick drum mics because "well kick drum is low too". Those mics are HORRIBLE for recording bass cabinets because they have a built in peak (for the beater slap) to make a kick drum sound good.

Those mics are designed to give you an easy, ready baked kick drum sound but awful for bass cabinets.

As far as the RBI goes, they are so cheap new, and so available used if someone wants to check one out...well just buy the damn thing. If it doesn't work for you sell it.

But it's rare to find someone who does not like theirs.

p.s. I recently bought a specialty bass cabinet and there is a video of a guy playing through one on the website. The guy is playing slowly and at relatively low volume.

The cab sounds pretty decent in the video but OMIGOD in person the cab sounds WAY better than it does in that video.

Having all the background with BDDI and VT pedals, the RBI also feels so right with the knobs and toggle switch. So nice to have. I like the supplied settings for Fender Bassman more than Ampeg settings for the basses I use.
