Does anyone here own one? Where can you buy them in the US? The video demos of these things sound amazing!

Here are the list of some of the dealers in the US. However, if it's not in their stock then they have to order it which is about a 3 month wait because, from what i'm told, Sandberg makes your bass as your order comes in due the specifics you may ask for. They don't just have basses laying around ready to ship out from what I understand. I believe Alto has a VM5 and Bananas has a Ken Tayor. (They sent me pictures of that...very nice looking)

Thanks for the info, aasti3000. These basses seem pretty pricey. Does anyone know if they're really worth it? I haven't picked one up, but the video demos make the sound good.

Do a sandberg search on talkbook. Lots of thread about them and I have not read any bad comments about them. If you really want to hear how they perform then look on youtube for artist like Ida Nielsen (or Bassida or Ida Funkhouser) Marlowdk, or type in Sandberg bass. And yes, I tested one (VM5), the sound was amazing, the bass was well built, action was already low....but I couldn't pay the price. Now if you go to the sandberg site there is a french dealer that will give you the best price that I came across and even said that they ship it to the US for $80. They quoted me around $1850 US dollars for the bass. I'll try to find that dealer if you're still interested. Too expensive for my pockets...but great basses.

??? Really? Just talked to him last month....oh well. BassCenter still had the best prices. Give me a year and a half and I'll own my VM5....(and the Ken Taylor)
