Sandberg Lionel short scale bass

I wanted to start a thread to discuss the new Sandberg short scale. Has anyone played one yet? I can’t find any demos yet. Also what will the price be?

I bought one of the first two at NAMM 2020. It's a great little Bass.

It's light, sounds very full and plays great!

It's a ash body in blueburst with a maple neck and all black hardware.

How much do these short scale cost? Anyone here know?

They seem to start around $1200, which isn't bad compared to some of the other high quality short scale options. The Sandberg site has a cofigulator to price with options.

I just ordered my Lionel from Jake at Sound Pure in NC. The 6-month wait begins. I'm getting old and want a short scale to help relieve some of my oncoming joint issues. The Lionel and the Wilcock are the only ones that fully speak to me. Go configulator! Very stoked, I gotta say!

I received the bass two days ago, but am also in the middle of redecorating my home studio. So I didn't take the time yet to write a NBD. Spoilers: this is the best bass I've ever owned.

Totally agree. I was looking at one on a shop`s website but it looks so much better in the above photo.
