I just wonder if someone knows anything about Sandbergs The Axe Bass?
It would be funny if anyone has some info on this "monster"

Actally it is surprisingly light. It is handmade and individually paint brushed.
Now thats a real Axe

As do I, but that Sandberg would probably sound like junk in that occasion. Corts aren't really that bad. They've made alot of specialty basses. I think the Axe sounds relatively cool.

Oh, I know you were't. I'm interested to see how the Sandberg sounds, though.

One of those basses resides here in Denmark. The owner is "Bob Thunder" from the band Ripe (Invalid Link Removed)

I picked up the bass once but found it unsuited for my playing style.

I think a friend of mine sent it to me - he's the other guitarist in Ripe and co-owns the studio pictured. Why do you want to find it on their website? It's right here...

Well, Bob works at the Danish equivalent of Guitar Center, so I suspect he knew something most people didn't, like how to get a hold of one. I don't know what the thing cost but it's plainly more of a gimmick than a playable instrument, IMO. The bass is very heavy and the shape made it nearly impossible for me to handle.

I think it is quite light actually...concider the large body.

Mine will be a artistic object but I will also use it...or else it would be a shame...

im pretty sure if you contact holger either direct or via your local dealer, a custom axe could be made. it is on the custom jobs page so that implies that they will do it again.

just expect it to be pricey especially if you will be importing from Germany to USA.
