Does anyone into Input 2 on the back? I ask this because it has a pad button and I'm running a active "hot" bass.

Haven't really seen anyone talking about it. hmm?

You might if it's a silly hot bass. It's meant for connecting other line level gear.

Yes, I use input 2. No, I don't use the pad.

Every so often I use a pair of preamps in series. When I do, I always use the RBI: first, because I love the way the Presence control adds grit/sparkle to my tweeterless Berg NV610. Second, because the rear input has the pad and can accept a line-level signal from the other preamp. Third but not least: because of the rear input I don't have to wrap a long cable from the back of the first preamp around to the front of the rack (I have no open rack space through which to feed a short cable).
