Sansamp RBI preamp - which power amp ?

Hi all,

I am leaning towards buying a Sansamp RBI these days.

I currently have a GK Fusion 500 Head, which I really like. Can I use the GK Head as a power amp and bypass the preamp section??

Should I buy myself another power amp instead??

I am sure lots of you guys faced such a question!

Running out from the RBI to the FX return of the GK should work.

Set things right and you can even run the RBI into the front end of the GK. If you like the GK's tone stack / pre section, you may want to consider something less expensive like a BDDI or pedal pre of cjoice.

Yes. The two pre's may complement each other nicely...then again, it may be a real dog. I can easily think of a half-dozen pedals that would warm-up the GK's front-end without getting stupid in the OD department. Two that come to mind are the Linden Barber and Butler BlueTube. I still use the BDDI.
