Is Sasquatch fact or fiction?

The fiction is perceived by many to be fact.

Throughout history fiction has been repeated over and over again until it becomes accepted fact.

Like the "fact" that Columbus discovered America.

Columbus actually never set foot on American soil.

Lots of fiction around that is accepted as fact.

Looks to be roughly 70/30, No Bigfoot/Bigfoot. Not suprising since 70% or more of our population are urban dwellers. They live where Bigfoot doesn't.

nah,.. pics wouldn't even be believe-able with these guys. they are trying hard to NOT to see! lol,.. they don't even recognise the potential. ROTF,.. i detect abit of good ol' human arrogance along with steaming pile of naivetè.

anyway,.. the poll is enough to see i'm not the only believer, but it appears that eye witnesses are very, very rare. i guess that makes me even more unique! perhaps it was my kind heart & open mind that attracted them.

That's right.......and in every case they got pictures that are precise and clear when they discovered them.
Easily recognizable as to what they are.

Sasquatch sitings have been going on for North Americans the minute they first landed on the American continent.

For some reason in this several hundred years no actual definitive proof of Bigfoot existing has ever come to light.

Are Bigfoot sightings "entities"?....that is if a ghost can materialize in front of you and appear as a solid person ....can Bigfoot do the same?

So is Bigfoot really a "ghost" entity" presenting itself?

Why the entities that produce ghosts would even bother presenting themselves as BigFoot or Jersey Devil or Swamp Ape or any of the other mystical entities out there that are seen (Mothman etc) is a mystery to me.......

What's in it for them if they make a Bigfoot appear so you can see it?

A ghost can be construed as a previous living human...so we a have connection there..... (if you believe in ghosts)

again, it's a Poll,... i want nothing more. i predict that one day some of you will remember this thread. i hope like hell i'm wrong, but eventually the authorities may release what data they have. if people are reporting the same thing in every corner of the world, it has merit whether you think so doesn't factor in.

the video totally represents the atypical discription of aliens just the same way every discription of BF is pretty universal. it invokes the same kind of debates we are having right now. i think it's ignorant to believe we are the only carbon based life-form in the universe,.. other's dis-agree. it's no different here.*

There is a big difference between believing in extraterrestrial life and grey aliens visiting earth. Don't assume I don't believe in one because I think the other is ridiculous.

There are plenty of reasons descriptions of sightings are so similar, the main one being the power of suggestion.

Different eras and cultures all have their own particular creatures and subjects of hallucinations. We see what we expect or want to, and this includes so-called religious experiences and the like.

Forests, darkness, and fear are a potent combination. Have you ever noticed how easy it is to see faces in ordinary objects? It's the way out brains are wired, to recognize and discern individuals. Of course people have been imagining other animals through or trees moving in the wind are humanoid through the ages, it's easily explained.

You are flattering yourself, but who doesn't want to be the one chosen to see what others cannot yet? I think you are just very gullible and really want to believe. That's usually enough and explains the larger part of visions through the ages.

i can totally relate to what you are say, but what i don't understand is why people are so adverse to the notion that a yet undeclared species are having their way devoid of human contact! just a few years ago, giant squids were the stuff of legend,.. thought long exstinct. there are new found whales, sharks, primates, etc. why can't N. America house great ape with intelligence?!!

@OneDrop,... i just noticed your edited post about the darkness playing tricks. that is a solid conjecture, but my first contact was in broad daylight. from approximately 50ft. in a clearing on knee-high grass. i knew immediately it was not human. we stared at one another for several seconds and i watched for several more seconds as it headed toward the treeline! i tried unsucessfully to discount the sighting for years. the image is imbedded.
