In Atlanta, great show. I REALLY enjoyed Geddy and Alex playing so many guitars throughout the night. Here's my take on Geddy's tone:
The Ric on Red Barchetta sounded sooo perfect! The right amount of snap, growl, and bottom. Made me want to go out and buy one!
My second favorite was his white Precision (gasp! ). Yes a Precision! I love a P and seeing Geddy with one was great but hearing it was awesome!
My third choice was his red flamed maple jazz. Ah, finally Geddy tonal nirvana. The reason I bought my first jazz 21 years ago.
The other 70s jazzes sounded great, the 60s jazz sounded good, the 2 Gibsons sounded awful in comparison, and his pink (coral? ) P sounded just ok.
For Alex I was surprised at how different his Strats sounded from the Gibsons. Only because I'm not a guitar player, I didn't expect such a difference.
