Those woud look killer on my rehearsal room wall, and they're probably solid performing gear. I really to love that green with the pearloid.

Seems like the asking price is a pretty steep; I'm not sure that a "matched pair" of used guitars that are not exactly vintage or collectable would command a premium for any reason. Of course I'm certainly no authority on Gibson custom shop values, I have a feeling a T-Bird would end up giving me a bunch of back aches.

I remember seeing the custom green T-Bird when I was a little kid, it was for sale. For $5,000.

They just look large to me. Honestly, I have never seen one come through any of the music stores I frequent (which is a testament to how badly these stores are understocked) so I've never had a chance to play one. I have always really liked Gibson's guitars very playable, but I do find the Les Pauls pretty heavy for my taste. I guess I always assumed that the big mahogany body on the T-Birds would be sort of hard to handle. Some day I will get to play one - that will obviously be the real test.
