SBMM/EBMM/G&L neck compatibility

So I've got a G&L body with a Moses Graphite neck. I'm not wild about the body (I won't get into that here, but it comes down to personal preferences) but love graphite necks. I've never had a Stingray-style bass before, but somewhere I heard that the 6-bolt pattern used on G&L and EBMM basses are compatible. Is that true? If so, does that carry over to the SBMM bodies as well?

I'm thinking I may sell the body, get a cheap SBMM, and swap the neck onto that. Will that work?

Check this at 2:34 it's '77 stingray project with a CLF/G&L neck - according to Dave @ G&L, G&L has a square heel, MM is rounded. The G&L neck just needs to be rounded off to fit....
