SBMM Joe Dart 2025 just dropped

So far it seems like the JDI is the best selling one. That's the one I would most associate with Joe Dart so that makes sense if it's primarily vulpeck fans ordering them.
Yeah the 1 is easily outperforming the others right now. My guess is many bassists, like myself, regret not getting one of the 2024 crop. Especially after all the positive reviews came out after delivery. That's why I jumped on a black JD1 today.

Honestly, if the 2 and 3 didn't have the "over sized headstock," I'd have gotten the 2. I remember the passive EBMM Cutlass and Caprice basses had the oversized headstock. I thought it looked awkward plus created more neck dive than a normal sized Ernie Ball headstock would. I can only imagine that enlarged headstock weighing down the neck dive of the small-body short-scale JD3.

Will be interesting to see the order numbers comparison in two months.

Yeah, the JDII is the one that interests me but I'm not really in the market for a new bass right now so I'll likely hold off. I am fortunate to have a rare EBMM cutlass bass which I love. It doesn't really neck dive but its a regular scale bass unlike the JDIII so I could see how that could be a concern for some. I'd still love to get my hands on a EBMM Caprice some day.

I sure can't justify another bass right now but man if that isn't a cool p bass. Really glad to see people can get their hands on all three models for less than EBMM prices now. I have a joe dart sterling from last years crop and it's so much fun.

Great aesthetics, great business model, nice cool product for the price. But last year's $400 models got (slightly) dinged for cheap plastic knobs and occasional issues like a slightly bent nut. Things like that were easily excused at that price-point of course, but I can't help but feel that there are better built, better-featured $500 basses out there today (albeit without the same cool, clean looks). You might disagree but I'd take a $389 Sire V3P or $320 Yamaha BB234 or $530 BB434 over one of these for build quality and pickups.

Yeah I'm intrigued. Been in the market for a short scale P and I've been eyeing a used Schecter Banshee. Then this pops up for less.

I guess I'll have to go play some short scale stingrays to see how I get along with the neck…

I'm just torn about which one to get!
Order one of each and you're still less than an EBMM bass!

In all seriousness, good for Joe! He's an incredible player (just like the rest of the band) and I'm glad to see him get recognized. If I needed a bass I would be interested in any of these, but I just bought a bass two weeks ago, so I'm set for a long while.

I'm a weirdo who really only uses a tone knob and almost never touches the volume knob. I'm all for simplicity but would rather it just have a tone.
The DJ Bebop P Bass of Doom has 3 pickups, 3 volumes and no tone controls. It does have phase switches for two of the pickups. 😊

BTW,
You're a creep, you are a weirdo
What the hell are you doing here?
You don't belong here!

🤣
