I’m keeping the originals.@loucook, do you still have the OEMs? And if so, are you interested in selling one or all of them?

I am new at posting here so sorry if this is posted in the wrong location. However, this is concerning a Sterling Stingray SS4.
I am wondering if you may help me with an idea I have. I have a Sterling Stingray Short scale bass. It has a 3-way switch selector that makes the humbucker pickup go from 1. Series 2. Single coil and 3. Parallel as you all know.
I want to add a p-bass pickup to it (Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound). I am able to mod stuff but when it comes to wiring, I am clueless. I have already routed the body and added the p-bass pickup on it.
I would like help wiring it.
I would like for the 3-way switch selector to go 1. P-bass pickup 2. Single coil (humbucker) 3. Parallel (humbucker). Basically, removing the series option for the p-bass option. Would this be possible with the current hardware? I added the wiring diagram that Sterling sent me and added the P-Bass pickups. Not sure where the black and white wires would go and what to take out. My guess was to remove either the green or white cable since position 1 lines up with those cables.
Any help would be appreciated. Even if it means with my current hardware is not possible and I need to rewire. I would like to keep the humbucker in parallel mode, I just prefer that sound.

Thanks @kraken_kr. It was resolved earlier.Hey, I still have the og tuners and my lurthier already filled in the holes with maple. Lemme know!
Just picked up a copper colored one and the new releases seem heavier than the old ones.
At least this one is. if it were a full sized stingray it would be a ten pounder.
Gripe alert…
Is it too much to ask that for $550 can’t they use tuners that aren’t trash?
And maybe a gig bag?View attachment 4364597

Does anyone know whether the screw holes line up on the original clover style EBMM tuners? Or any others out there? If not, which tuners are the easiest replacements?25548057[/URL], member: 310895"]I think lots of us would gladly pay more for some quality tuners similar to those on the EBMM rather than deal with these which even get worse over time or have to go about the trouble of putting good ones on.
The bottom two do. The top two do not.Does anyone know whether the screw holes line up on the original clover style EBMM tuners? Or any others out there? If not, which tuners are the easiest replacements?
It does fit well in the Gator pro guitar bag and if the specs are accurate in the less expensive Gator Transit guitar bag.It fits perfectly in my PRS guitar gig bag. I do wish I had one specifically for it though.
Is that the Schaller BM? Are the original holes covered by the plate or do they need to be filled? How about the bushing… does it need to be swapped out too?The bottom two do. The top two do not.
I’ve retrofit Schallers on SMMM SUBs twice (same tuners) so I know of which I speak

My EBMM lives in a Gator Pro bag which would be close to perfect if the lining was not white. Assuming my SBMM turns out as expected when I get it defretted, I will purchase a Transit for it and let everyone know for sure. The SBMM is living in my EBMM hard case right now. For everyday use though, I’m not a fan of hard cases.
Thanks. I'll ask them. I checked out some of the wiring diagrams and found one that I can do but it would basically just give me p-bass and/or humbucker only. I would guess it would make the humbucker be wired in series mode.Neat project! My recommendation is contact the peeps at Bass Pickups | Preamps | Bartolini | Aguilar - Best Bass Gear, they've always been great at helping me out with this sort of stuff in the past.

Mr. Lesfunk,
Do you know the actual weight of your new bass?

Your cheetah blanket makes me want to grab it even moreI use the Gator Pro Go guitar bag and it fits pretty good. I had to remove the extra padding at the bottom though. View attachment 4365203
