Didn't get as much done over the holiday as I planned, but when does that ever actually happen?
I started spraying clear on one of the bodies...
...it's a little lumpy, but it will sand flat.
Here, I've already started level sanding the top...
...using a small MDF block and 320 grit paper.
For the roundy bits, I use a foam pad with peal-and-stick paper...

...I've had this for many years, since I used to do finish in a cabinet shop. When all the corners, roundy bits and tight spots are sanded, I used a DA for the large, flat areas.
This is the clear I'm using...
...with a Harbor Freight HVLP gun. One coat every hour; I did four coats then let it cure for 48 hours. Probably could sand after 24, but I had to work Saturday. As a small business owner, I can't really be closed on "Small Business Saturday".
