Schecter Diamond P 5 (NBD)

Have any DP5 owners had issues with bad ground possibly related to one or both pickups? Been an owner since 2011 and, while never a show-stopper, I've had a buzz when not touching the strings or bridge. I replaced the pots and all non-pickup wiring and it's still there.

I can solder well enough, but it's like building IKEA furniture to me; I can put things together well but I'm not an engineer so my troubleshooting skills aren't great. I've run through everything on a multimeter but I specifically admit to not knowing much about troubleshooting pickups. It's with noting this is my first passive bass, and my guitars all have had humbuckers- is the P pickup just a little noisy? Seems like if the noise goes away when I touch it that it's a wiring fault, and I've swapped everything except replace the bridge wire and pickups.

I took it to a tech that is respected by multiple guitarists around here and he said my wiring looked good and suspected a problem with one or both pickups. I'm prepared to be humbled by being told I'm way off or wrong!
