SCHECTER STILETTO ELITE 5

Excellent choice if you don't have issues with a smaller body, not so wide string spacing and modern sound.
Sorry... I had a moment of weakness. I played on one a few weeks back and really dug it. I actually liked it better than the Ray I played the same day.
Bought a pre-owned but unused Elite 5 a few months ago as my first fiver. Truly excellent build and finish, solid sounds, plays like a dream - and I like my action as low as possible - and it's an overall wonderful bass. I would absolutely buy it again. Big thumbs up here!
The only issues I can see arising are the tight string spacing, which I happen to like, and the fact that it is not a terribly light instrument.
$350? Pounce on that puppy, and pronto.
I've got a Stilleto Custom 4 which I believe(?) is a step down from that model, although other than appearance I'm not sure of the difference. I absolutely love my Schecter and I would buy another one if I had to replace this one (although I'm GASing for a Jazz now).
This is the first bass I've owned, but I've had the chance to play a decent amount of other basses and I haven't quite found anything I like as much. The feel is great, but since I've recently begun playing DB, it feels odd to play such a thin neck, but it feels great again once I adjust.
I really have nothing to complain about on my (similar) bass. I'd say go for it, especially at that price.

Musicdude...you should totally buy it. I own a 2006 schecter stiletto elite 5-string bass
for 5 years and it is a totally awesome bass guitar. it is my main bass guitar with my band. I also own a schecter stiletto extreme 4-string bass which I play in my brother's band and that bass is totally awesome. If you're thinking about buying the schecter bass you've found, I'd say go for it.
