Hi there,

I would like to achieve a growl on my bass how do I do this?
My influences are Led Zep, Deep Purple, Chris squire.

My controls are Vol/Blend/2 eq band.

I play through a Laney bass amp.

It's going to be very difficult to get that sound using your bass. Schecter Stiletto series have EMG pickups, which are clear and fullrange (supposedly), plus you don't have a midrange control. You should sell your Stiletto and get a Jazz bass, which would do the John Paul Jones perfectly, and the Chris Squire decently.
