Schecter Stiletto Stealth-5 Bass, 5-String, Satin Black

I used to own the four string version. Nice bass, sweet neck- sold it because I really wanted a bass that showed up in my local CL or I probably would have kept it. It's got a modern style of tone to it, I love the P pickups, I was not so crazy about the MM pickup. it was a little on the weak side in terms of output and tone (a little nasally). Maybe I was just used to my Musicman basses and had unrealistic expectations regarding that - however mixed with the P, it sounded much better - I think upgrading the MM pickups will make it an even better bass tbh but taken as a whole, the bass was pretty good. The slim and fast neck and the low action you can get was probably the best features of the bass to me, it's really an enjoyable bass to play on. The bass is also quite the looker. From use, some spots on the matte black finish might get shiny from constant contact but not really noticeable.
I got the Stealth 5 a year ago, as a Backup to my Custom 5 which has been my #1 since 04. As much as it hurt, it Kicked The Custom 5's ass, for involved natural tone and cost $230 less.The High output Passive Pbass p'up along with preamp is a great pair up.. I just added another.
