It looks like a mistake. The review describes it as a case and, if you follow the link to MF you'll see a picture of a case. I doubt they'll follow through on this but it might be worth a shot!

I do think it is a mistake, but the price has it listed as 630.00, and no case is that expensive.

Yeah, I see what you're saying. I kinda panicked because I saw the price, and immediately posted it here. Figured you guys may be interested in it. Let me know if anybody tries and gets away with a great bass for cheap.

Kinda looks legit to me. MF only offers the Stiletto Extreme 4 now. I guess their trying to get rid of these. Only the one who pulls the trigger will truly know.

I don't have a way of buying online, and my dad wont do it for the same reason you guys are hesitant which is totally understandable. I hope somebody tries it and snags a bass for cheap though.

I wish I had a credit card. It's starting to seem like they're just on clearance. But that's a HUGE price drop.

if you start from the beginning and search through the Woodwind & Brasswind store, they show pictures of the case. if you click on the links in this thread, you see the bass. it makes sense its the case..but I will definitely regret it if I find out it was the bass...

well musicians friend is selling the 4 strings for cheap ($250) wouldnt the 5 string be a little bit more? but not $300 more.
it also shows the bass features. and theyre the reall features. if had money id risk it.

Yeah, it's the cases they're selling, which is a good thing.

I couldn't have resisted those prices if they were the actual instruments -- and those are a pair of the fugliest basses I've ever seen.

Well, I took the plunge. The order confirmation says it is the bass, not the case. If it is a mistake, they eat the cost of shipping both ways. If not, well then I got a 5 string for $99. No lose situation.
