Hey all. Do any of you know anything about this setup? The Schoeps website really doesn't say anything about what applications are appropriate for their stuff and this is my first time seeing this particular mic... Looks expensive and intriguing

Looks like a side address cardiod for vocals. I remember they have a good sheet that covers most products and will post that link when I find it.
Also, I found them very helpful by email.
I think, that Avishai Cohen for example uses a CCM4 as a "standard" mic.. if you look for example to this tech-rider (page 3)

I'm always surprised that AC likes to use an SVT and 8x10 cab and has that request in his rider. Maybe it's because they're relatively common in the backline rental world...
An SVT and 810 can sound awesome in a lot of different situations, but it would be among my last choices for amplifying upright bass. IMHO it's sort of the exact opposite of everything I want in an upright amp.
