Just got one of these, the newest version. I haven't had much time to check it out but it is TINY! 20 pounds, 4 ohms, 400 watt rating, all in something "just a tad larger than a woman's purse" according to Jorg. Strap your favorite micro-head on it for a combo of doom.

What do you all think?

Great.I have one that I use in my studio,for rehursals and small gigs.Sits under a LMII or F1,depending on how I feel.Just did a wedding in a small room and it was perfect.I think you are going to like it.Its the smallest,loudest lil rig Ive ever used.

I think they are great little cabs. I had a pair, but I realized that you don't really need two (although, a pair does sound a little more full). I'm pumping 500w (I have the R ve sion) into the one that I kept. It doesn't sound the least bit stressed, even when it's cranked. I think they aren't too popular because it's hard to believe these tiny cabs are really this good.

I liked it so much, that I also bought the 115. Here in NYC, it's not unusual to park a few blocks away from your gig and have to walk and cart your stuff a few city blocks, and lightweight cabs that sound great are such a plus.

Other musicians who sees it and hear it love it.

Finally got a chance to play with the 112L+ and I gotta say....this is an amazing little cab! It definitely sounds like a Schroeder, very middy, but the 'mid-scoop' button on the Shuttle 6.0 is all it took to smooth it out. I'm not a fan of tweeters but this one is very natural sounding.

I was blown away with the available volume (mine is 4 ohm) out of this 23.5 pound rig. As a test I had my girlfriend play drums and this cab EASILY kept up and almost drowned her out. Any of the micro-heads out there would work well, I can see the LMKII or MB²-500 sounding awesome with it.

I'm going to try it out Tuesday with a four-piece funk band at a casino with an upstairs stage. Of course there will be total FOH support so it won't get pushed too hard. Should be interesting.

Congrats.I too love mine.Its an impressive cab in a full band mix.Keep in mind,it can only do so much.But Ive done small wedding gigs with no problem,and we are pretty loud.

+1 on the tweeter.Very smooth.

Thanks Bassjam, after last night I'm going to have a hard time reminding myself it can only do so much.

I played the casino with just the 112L+ and a Shuttle 6.0 head. It's an upstairs stage so it really pays to go light there. I plugged it in and played with the same settings I'd used at a rehearsal in my house the day before. That is...Mid-Scoop button in, Bass @ 1:30, Mids 12:00, Treble @ 2:30...and it was TOO MUCH. I brought Bass down to flat and turned down the Master for fear of blowing everyone off the stage. All this was before running a DI out to the board.

It looked completely silly on that huge stage, I had to put my bass (should've had a red flag on it) on a stand by the amp so people wouldn't trip over it. :smug:

Played another upstairs casino gig last night with the Shuttle and 112L+. I had a choice of either putting the cab on the ground or on a monitor stack right at ear level. I went with ear level. Well, long story short, the little Schroe needs a bit of floor or wall or something to get much bass out. This wasn't the greatest sound I've ever had but it got the job done. I have a newfound appreciation for how smooth that tweeter is though. With it blowing straight into my ears it could have been painful, but it just sounded nice.

If I had it to do again it might end up on the floor pointing up at me but I had to try something new (to me). Kinda wish they had one of those kick out things on the bottom like the Shuttle combos. Where do you find those?
