i almost went for this combo as well. in the end i decided to pair the SA Focus with my 1210 because i am a weight weenie (the sa focus is 3.5lbs). plus the sa focus is a little more powerful at 600 watts. Prices are fairly close.
Yes, for electric. Keep in mind the sa focus is just a poweramp. I use a sabddi as a preamp and it works well. You could go for the Acoustic Image Focus which includes the preamp. They are more expensive. I had the clarus and I loved the portability. However I found the sound a little sterile for my tastes. I have a feeling the Focus would sound similar but with more power. Thats why I opted for the SA Focus so i can add my own preamp. Anyway 4.5lbs and 600watts cures all GAS for me as far as amps go.
