I came across an ad for these basses on Bass Gear and checked out the youtube link. The bass sounds great and from the pictures Scott sent me, they look great too.

I have started a dialogue with Scott about building a 5 sting single cut for myself, at $1199 the price seems right. I should get more info from him tomorrow. I am really drawn to his single cut shape and his pickups (he aparrantly winds his own) sound good in the recording.

I just thought I'd post this here...it keeps getting better and better for us bass players with more talented folks getting into the game and building some killer basses.

Thanks for posting Mark! I liked the look of the SC and DC.

I wonder what rig he was playing it through (maybe I missed it, since I switched on the sound a minute in). It sounded aggressive (in a good way) across the different settings. Good stuff.

Hey Marshall...I think he's playing through an Aguilar rig. You can see it before he walks into frame.

The bass seems to have lots of bark when he rolls back to the rear pickup. I thought that the mid bump was aggressive, in all the right ways.

What a trip to come on and see this. Very cool! As for the headstock size, Bryan, I actually agree. I have two headstocks. Some folks seem to like the bigger one but I designed a smaller one that I sometimes like better. I'm not sure that I can post a pic of with the commercial policy but let me know and I will post it to get some opinions. Anyway, if anyone has any questions, positive or negative comments, let's hear them. I find them very valuable.

ps. The double cut is a bit of a prototype. I don't think I will offer the p/j configuration and the pickguard will be slightly different.

Here's the smaller headstock. I find headstock shapes are much harder to design than the actual body. A community designed headstock wouldn't hurt my feelings any, either;)
