Screaming distortion/fuzz that cuts through

You lost me here :) What does this mean?

Meaning that tube screamer-based fuzzes seem to have this "fizziness" on their top end that I don't really care for. I had a BB preamp that some people really love that is this souped-up t-screamer curcuit for bass and I just couldn't make the fizz dial into something pleasing and fat that cut through. I hear some of that same tone on the top end of the Bumble.

For the record though...you mmbongo did get me turned onto this pedal a year or 2 ago when you started posting about it. :)

Ahh I see. I don't think the Bumble has anything in common with a Tube Screamer though...that's what confused me. It's definitely in the Muff family but can get more fizzy than something like a Grey Stache or Tall Font Russian, plus it has a clean blend. I actually think it sounds better without the blend though.

I'm loving everything about the BlowTorch.
The Mid boost control is a gift from above.

When I need ridiculous cutting through powers....I put a Vox Wah at a low fixed position in front of my overdrive or Fuzz.
Actually works great with a Tube Screamer but you have to run it through a second Amp due to lack of blend controls.

Another note about Tube Screamers....they sound lousy Direct.
But running it separately through a GTR Amp makes it quite useful.Still not my favorite.
