SD Active APJ-2 Lightnin' Rods set with SD STC-3M3 Active Preamp???

Hi,
I just got a set of active "Seymour Duncan APJ-2 Lighnin' Rods" pickups along with a "Seymour Duncan STC-3M3 3 Band Active Preamp" off eBay.

I was planning to replace the pickups of my SX SPJ with the Lightnin' Rods and sell the preamp, but is it possible to use both of them in conjunction? I've found no answer from Google so I hope you can help me out. Info on the preamp here

Please help me out, I'm a complete noob at this.

Two Problems:

1.)The Musicman tone circuit is designed for use with a single pickup so to make it work with a pair you need to add some type of pickup switching scheme in front of the preamp input.

2.) That preamp is setup for a passive pickup so the pot values would be too high to work correctly with the active pickups.

I'd suggest selling the MM preamp and getting the SD 3-Band tone circuit specifically designed for a pair of active pickups. (STC-3A)
