searching for a thread

Hi guys

Long story short, im looking for an old thread.

a year or two ago i was on here and happened upon a thread where a guy was talking about his cruel wife making him choose between her and music and she was all types of abusive including controlling his allowance.

Eventually there was an interesting twist where somebody caught the OP consoling himself from a second account and wrecking his own credibility.

Does anyone remember this thread and know where i can see it again?

I'll admit openly that I have my fair share of "problems", but having a second account (or possibly more) to interject on your own threads is just plain weird.
I've known some people that do this sort of thing that I found otherwise stable, but man is that weird.

It's not that weird. It's against the rules of THIS forum, and I advise posters not to do it, but nothing in the way of human existence is all that "weird."

Hmm, I remember that thread, but I must not have stuck around long enough for that twist at the end...

There was a thread a few years ago where some kid came on promoting a "great" local band that he just saw, and everyone gave the guy a hard time because it was pretty apparent he was promoting his own band. Later on, another poster came in to vouch for the guy and also recommend the band. Afterwards a mod came in and mentioned that the second poster was from the same IP. The kid got really embarrassed and rage-quit in a hurry!

I laughed really hard on that one. This one wasn't so funny.

I could understand vouching for your band twice with multiple accounts, but consoling yourself online is just too much fail.

Same here. If read bits and pieces but missed the part where he was busted for consoling himself with a second account.

I think that's hilarious, as well as a bit sad.

I vaguely remember that one....impossible to search out now though as I don't remember any specific phrases or names to search with.

That's why you should always post in a thread you're even vaguely interested in; it's easier to search your posts than the whole site.
