I made an interesting discovery while editing a long post. If I post a thread and then edit it, I can't seem to search within the edit window with the computer.
I hit the edit button and the edit window comes up with the rich text editor. Normally on my Mac, to search I enter command-F. If I do that, the search is performed on the background as well as the edit window.
In the image below, I started searching for a word beginning with "f", as you can see, the search wasn't confined to just the edit window. It makes sense that it would be.
A way of searching just within the edit window would be nice with larger posts. Is there a way to do that?
Also, just out of interest if you know the answer, does the system impose a limit on the size of a post and if so, what is it? Would a limit include the size of any pdf attachments?
Thanks.
MAC OS 10.9.5, Safari 7.1
