they really need to change the title of that sticky from the bland "amps FAQ" to something more eye-catching, like "4x10 plus 1x15 sucks and here's why!" so it gets read more often.
Then get rid of it and get two of something else that you like the sound of that isn't too heavy. 115lbs for a 410 is absurd. It's a hundred and fifteen pound cab, it's a bitch to lug around

My only problem with a matching cab is 1 I don't think they're in production and 2. It's a hundred and fifteen pound cab, it's a bitch to lug around

I never have done it, but I know a lot of people are against the 410+115 setup. I have used 2x 410's before and it worked great. If you do go with another 410, as others have said try to match it. How about a 410 and a 210 setup?
Right; if the speakers are identical and the cabs are such that the phase behavior is similar, you get yourself a nice balanced 6x10 cab.
I don't know why more builders don't do this; they could sell a matching 2x10 that switches between 16 ohms (to properly "extend" their own 8 ohm 4x10 cab) or switches to 4 ohms to be used by itself on small gigs.
So just some
Clarification guys, my amp at 8ohms puts out 375 watts and at 4 ohms puts out 600 watts. Assuming I'm going to buy two identical 410 8 ohm cabs what is the minimum power handling I should look at? Will 400 watts be enough? 500? Or should I be safe and look towards the 1000 watts (the most common next up from 500 I've found)
