Many years ago I blended an Underwood and a Realist through a Ravenlabs blender. KILLER TONE!!! But..... Too much hassle after awhile. The Wilson and Realist would be a natural match through some sort of blending piece of gear.

This is the fence I am always straddling...how to keep the setup simple yet get good sound. Having multiple boxes (with multiple wall warts), multiple cables, etc. and making it foolproof was impossible. I eventually gave up on trying to blend pickups, I never got a significant improvement, YMMV.

One outboard box is my limit and battery powered because wall warts suck. If Baggs would add an adjustable HPF to the Paracoustic I would be in heaven

I use a pickup by B-Band called the D1. It operates on essentially the same concept: The Realist + Underwood

The unit has a built-in preamp in the output jack that has a small blend pot you can use to adjust the balance between body (Realist) and bridge sound (Underwood). It requires only one input on your amp.

I really like that idea. I haven't been the biggest fan of the B-band stuff, but I should stop by and check out yours. I got an Acoustic Image head with the idea of maybe mixing my FC and a mic.
