Been a couple years; thought I’d ask again. Anyone aware of a single shoulder strap model gig bag?—old style, not the backpack style.

Things haven't changed much, except more companies are making double strap backpack bags and jacking the peghead way above your head like you're Lurch or Herman Munster.Been a couple years; thought I’d ask again. That looks pretty good. I’m looking into it now...ESP make one:

Really? How do you figure? To me there’s hardly any similarity between the ESP and any of the GigBlade models. All the GigBlades have their own quite distinctive design, while the ESP is more or less a bog-standard, traditional gig bag, with the exception of the single strap.Looks pretty similar to the Gruv Gear Gigblade.
Ya, it's like they took the Gigblade and simplified it. But look how the strap is mounted...messenger bag style. It's not a direct cop...but let's call it "inspired by."Really? How do you figure? I suspect this style of bag significantly predates the GigBlade, and the mounting of the strap - straight down the middle of the back of the bag - is also completely different to the all the GigBlade models, as those have the strap mounted on the sidewall or edge. It actually looks very much like the bag that came with my travel bass (which also predates the GigBlade), except for the size, of course: TB-4P, Escape Mark II Bass Gig BagYa, it's like they took the Gigblade and simplified it. I'd rather have that oneI suspect this style of bag significantly predates the GigBlade, and the mounting of the strap - straight down the middle of the back of the bag - is also completely different to the all the GigBlade models, as those have the strap mounted on the sidewall or edge. True enough.I'd rather have that one![]()
OK, well no point in arguing about it. They're all fine bags I'm sure, and how many different styles can you come up with without repeating what someone else did?
I see now that the link I posted was to a guitar bag, and not a bass guitar bag, which is strange, as it was listed under bass guitar gig bags. Hope they make a bass version. That looks pretty good. I’m looking into it now...
