I’m looking for a definitive scale system like the Segovia method for guitar but for double bass , yes I could do it myself but I’d be interested to see how someone else might finger these things , any help appreciated !

If you're looking for multiple fingerings for scales, there's Rabbath Book 3, or Levinson's "School of Agility".
Following this up to say that Levinson's book is fantastic but a bit of a forest if you don't already have a good grasp of the entire fingerboard.
I would also consider George Vance's Vade Mecum. Has a number of approaches to scale fingering systems laid out. 8 fingerings for 2 octave scales in every key with arpeggios, minor scales, position surveys (every note on the fingerboard of each key up to thumb position), "electric bass" style pivot fingerings, and arpeggio sequences. Fantastic book that a lot of people overlook because it looks trivial on first glance. I know of a number of big names who swear by this book.

Levinson has some great ideas for practice but his scale fingerings use the 3rd finger in some unorthodox ways. It can be a great technique to learn, but I’m not sold on it in general.
I’d still recommend the book but you shouldn’t buy it without knowing he’s teaching something unusual.

I usually start a practice session by playing bowing variations from Strokin’ (with metronome) and then switch over to Boardwalkin’ for one key (no metronome but with a lot of drones to help me tune). From there if I have time I like to play a bunch of minor scales and arpeggios from Rabbath book 3.
